As the name suggests, this type of diet is based primarily on eating foods that humans used to eat in the past that were not subjected to any kind of chemical treatment. In this diet, it is forbidden to eat dairy products, potatoes, legumes, salt, and sugar, while it is allowed to eat the following foods:

  • Healthy oils, such as olive oil and coconut oil.
  • Raw grains, seeds and nuts, such as pumpkin seeds and walnuts.
  • Vegetables and fruits of all kinds.
  • Meat taken from livestock whose diet depends on green grass.
  • Sea food.

Pros of the Paleo Diet:

  • Those who follow it do not feel hungry, because this diet is rich in protein sources that help satiety for longer periods.
  • Cleansing the body of toxins.
  • Reducing various infections in the body.

Cons of the Paleo Diet:

This type of diet lacks some essential nutrients that the body needs, such as vitamin D and calcium.
